OKX lending setup: Read, Trade and Simple Earn permissions
LendPace’s OKX integration uses Read and Trade API permissions. Trade is a broader permission group and must not be described as technically restricted to lending.
Create and understand the key
Create a dedicated API key, save Key, Secret and Passphrase, enable Read and Trade, keep Withdraw disabled, and configure IP restrictions as required.
OKX describes Trade as including orders, funding transfers and settings requiring write access. Even when the service uses it for Simple Earn, the key retains that broader scope. Disabling Withdraw does not make credential exposure harmless.
Connect and activate
Save the three credentials under OKX in account settings, test, then enable the key. A successful connection check is not verification of every product operation. Select USDT or USDC in My Lending, review funds, strategy and limits, then start explicitly.
LendPace currently uses a 150 USDT or USDC tool minimum, alongside OKX account, regional and product conditions. Saving the first key starts an eligible trial.
Matching, fees and redemption
Simple Earn Flexible matches borrowing demand; subscribed funds are not necessarily all earning immediately. The official FAQ lists a 15% earnings fee. Check each rate and ledger field’s basis instead of assuming every display is net.
Stopping attempts redemption. API errors or liquidity restrictions can prevent immediate completion; confirm available funds directly at OKX.
FAQ
Why did a key stop working?
Check permissions, IP restrictions and the exchange’s message. OKX applies inactivity rules to unbound keys with Trade or Withdraw access. Do not enable withdrawals as a troubleshooting step.
