Bitfinex funding not filling? Six checks in the right order
First identify whether lending is blocked at connection, submission or matching. Each needs a different fix; repeatedly recreating keys does not solve weak borrowing demand.
Start with the observed state
| State | Next check |
|---|---|
| Connection failed | Credentials, required permissions and IP |
| No offer submitted | Activation, funds and limits |
| Pending offer at exchange | Rate, duration and demand |
| Partial fill | Lent portion versus remaining offer |
| Filled but no interest shown | Crediting schedule and synchronization |
1. Verify the key
Test and confirm it is enabled. Bitfinex needs Wallets and Account History reads plus Margin Funding read/write. Do not enable transfers or withdrawals to troubleshoot. Distinguish authentication failures from an unavailable exchange.
2. Check the right bot
Confirm exchange, currency and running state. An enabled key is not a running bot; viewing USDT does not start USDT lending.
3. Check available Funding Wallet funds
Total assets may include other wallets, active loans or committed offers. Meet the exchange minimum, published as USD 150 equivalent, and the tool’s currency floor. Small repayments can temporarily leave less than the minimum available.
4. Check limits
Review subscription validity, exchange allowance, overall lending cap and your own currency limits. A positive exchange balance does not prove remaining lending capacity.
5. Check compatible terms
A high supply quote is not borrower demand. Rate and duration both matter: a two-day offer cannot satisfy demand requiring a longer term. Accept a longer commitment only if it fits your liquidity needs.
6. Check execution timing
Scheduling, API processing and matching take time. Inspect the last execution and maintenance notices before repeatedly changing settings. Give support the exchange, currency, time and redacted error information, never credentials.
