How to read lending performance reports: periods, utilization and net income
A credible report identifies its sample, period, costs and capital movements. This guide explains verification; it does not claim a complete monthly dataset or publish unverified customer results.
Minimum reporting fields
| Field | Disclosure |
|---|---|
| Sample | One or multiple accounts, exchange and currency |
| Period | Start, end, timezone and data cutoff |
| Capital | Opening principal, deposits, withdrawals and valuation |
| Income | Gross versus net interest and crediting state |
| Costs | Exchange fees, allocated subscription and included expenses |
| Utilization | Amount-and-time-weighted numerator and denominator |
| Gaps | Failed queries, missing dates and unverified records |
Do not publish credentials or identifying customer information. One demonstration account is not a measure of all users.
Three calculations
Period net interest: already-net exchange interest minus allocated subscription and included costs. If starting with gross interest, deduct exchange fees first, exactly once.
Utilization: sum lent amount multiplied by time, divided by the observed principal multiplied by time. Only the filled portion counts. Capital movements change the denominator.
Period return: for fixed capital without flows, net period interest divided by principal. With flows, disclose a suitable time-weighted, money-weighted or other method rather than mixing figures with the ending balance.
Annualization and incomplete data
Annualizing a short period can aid comparison only with explicit assumptions. It does not promise repeated future income, and a few days may be dominated by one fill.
Without complete coverage and a reliable ledger, report verified observations and limitations instead of a monthly net-return conclusion. Market APR must not be used to invent missing credited income.
For claims of multipliers or average returns, verify the baseline, sample size and consistent fee treatment before applying them to your situation.
